Could a non-Asian couple have an Asian themed wedding without offending anyone?
We'd like to have our favorite Chinese restaurant cater, complete with at least two tea options. I'm making 1000 paper cranes to decorate with and incorporate into the ceremony. I will display the double happiness character in a few places. I plan to order fancy fortune cookies as favors (American tradition, I know). Is any of this specifically offensive for any reason? Is it a bad idea to combine elements from different cultures? As we are regular, friendly customers, I am especially concerned about making the restaurant staff angry or uncomfortable. Can anyone offer any tips or suggestions?

I like your no1 and no.3 choices. Just ignore the Chinese comment.
Chinese boxes seem better for both sexes. The butterflies although cute, are a bit too girly.
These are the ones I liked. The leaf ones are basically the same as the butterflies but the motif is more generic.
Ditto with the mints, and you can make them more personal.
