Help with Christmas wedding decorations?

I'm having a Christmas wedding and my colors are red and white with silver accents. Here's what I have so far:

I'm doing wreaths instead of pew bows.

I have a lot of ornaments I could do something with.

My dad said he has big acorns that we could spray pain silver (but are acorns good for winter? ive only seen them incorporated with autumn weddings)

I have several hurricane vases, but they are the bottomless kind, so I will be buying mirrors to go under them.

Any ideas on what to put in the hurricane vases or anything to do with the acorns or ornaments??

I am having a Christmas themed wedding also. My colors are sangria and incandescent white with dusty rose accents. The wedding and reception will be in a hotel ballroom.

I have four centerpieces.

I am using bare branches (from the woods near my home). We are spraypainting the branches white and then coating them with iridescent glitter. I am hanging irididescent garland from the branches. I am placing them in large glass vases filled with marbles with a pink floralyte.

I am using wreaths. In the center of the wreath, I have the hurricanne vase with a small footing underneath it. I am filling the vase with glittered and iridescent glass ornament w/ halographic shreds in the bottom of vase. I am placing small votives at the perimeter of the wreath.

I am using tall hurricanes.

I am placing clear marbles in the bottom of each and using round ball candles in each. I am rouching white glittered organza at the bottom. I am going to place a floralyte underneath the organza to a "low glow" to the centepiece. I am putting a few glittered ornaments at random on the organza.

The last arrangement is a candlescape. It consists of ten candles of varying heights and shapes. They will be grouped around a hurricane filled with ornaments as well as ornaments placed at random on the table.

For the gift table, I am using a "tower of gifts"- three boxes atop of each other all tied together with a huge bow and long streamers. we are cutting a hole in the middle box for cards.

I am undecided about the favor table (thinking of small candy buffet).

For the bridesmaids, am attempting to make door knockers for them to carry. yesterday I purchased a $3 set of bangle bracelets at the local dollar store. I am going to wrap the bracelet with sparkly with ribbon, tie ribbon streamers of varying lengths to the bracelet. At the end of each streamer, I am tying an ornament. To complete it I am going to make a bow using the sparkly wite ribbon and glue it with the bracelet. (Big Lots had some using braided cord and silver bells for less than $12. That is where I got the idea from. They also had them in your color scheme)

The door knocker idea could turn out to be a quick diy project since you stated you have some ornaments to use. I am using random ornaments in my color scheme. I like variety, so they will not be identical. It also serves as a keepsake.

Pew decorations (pictured)...Do you like them?

I am wanting to make as much as I can for my wedding and I was just messing around last night and made this. Do you think that it would be a pretty pew decoration? My wedding is going to be pretty formal and my colors are white and black. The carpet in the church is red (also picture) but I will have a white aisle runner going down the middle. Do you think that the green in the pew decorations make it look to much like Christmas?

The pictures of the pew decorations make them look really shiney...but they are not that glossy in person.

What would you add or take away for the decorations to make them better?

those are beautiful! you did a great job. i think with the runner, the red carpet won't be as noticable and won't be too christmasy.
