What are some unique wedding decorations for a reception????
My fiance and I are getting married July 2008 and we have most of the planning organized.. My aunt is a wedding coordinator with her own business.. but we are just looking for one kind of decorative thing to stand out... (such as an ice sculpture) but we dont want to waste money on a big block of ice that will melt later anyways.. my colors are Red, Pink, and white. its not a big wedding.... but very nice.. we have a horse and carriage built and its white its for when we march down the aisle and take our pics standing on... cant really explain it.. but can you help me....
Use lots of white lights and candles. This will give a luminous, glowy look to your reception. Try to make the atmosphere look dreamy and romantic...make sure you and your fiance love it...after all, it is your day. Try peonies for your flowers. They are so beautiful, yet I don't think many people use them. Also, try to have a fabulous cake. everybody remembers that. Make sure it is beautiful and taste good too. Have you thought about a chocolate fountain? You could have 3 small ones. One with dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and the last one with white chocolate dyed to be pink.!

Is there a way to preserve icing decorations from a wedding cake?
They are beautiful large lillies with very thin petals, something besides freezing them?
Be carefull and let them sit out to dry for several days,depending on how big they are.After complently drying,carefully wrap in wax paper,pack in small box,and store in cool place....I have had mine for 4 years and still as pretty as the day i took them off...
