favor boxes w/ m&ms - need help figuring out how much to order?

i'm sure someone out here used m&m's as their wedding favor... i was planning on ordering the 2"x2" wedding favor boxes and filling them with custom printed m&m's in our color scheme, but i have no idea how many oz/lbs of m&m's i should order. the only thing i can find on-line is that the box holds about 90 m&ms, but that doesnt really help me since they sell them by weight, not number - haha.

anyways, if i have about 120 guests, how many lbs of m&m's do you think i'll need?
i was guesstimating 2oz per person, but thats 15lbs of m&m's total and that just seems like a lot - haha
i wasnt sure if the pre-packaged gift boxes on their site were including the weight of the package as well as the m&m's or just the m&ms alone...

I would take a box that size and go to the store and buy some M&Ms and fill the box. They weigh them on a postal or food scale.
15 lbs of M7Ms is about right and the funny thing is they are really heavy. They are small and fit to together closely in the box so the box will hold more than you think.
