where to get gold pillar candles at a wholesale price?

We are having a reception in May and our colors are gold and black, we are trying to find black and or gold pillar candles

metallic gold unscented pillar candles, we are from Ontario canada,
does anyone know where to find something like that?

I would wait until after Christmas - you should be able to buy them at 1/2 price at most any store that sells Christmas decorations. Seems like there is always a lot of gold items at Christmastime.

Woven baskets in a range of sizes can be bought or painted to match your wedding colors, and filled with favors for your guests. Love poems printed on parchment and tied with an appropriate color of ribbon are one option.

Either of these containers (glass bowls or baskets) lend themselves to numerous variations. If you plan to utilize assigned seating, you could create personalized ornaments with each guest's name on them, and artfully heap those in the container. Sorting through these would give guests a great opportunity to get to know one another, as well as passing the time spent waiting for the happy couple to arrive. Other filler ideas include seashells, Christmas lights, Christmas ornaments, candies or even origami flowers!

You know that tulle is often used to make chair bows and wrap wedding favors, but did you know it can also be your friend when creating unique wedding centerpieces? Since tulle is available in a wide range of colors, it can be scrunched and heaped in the center of the table to form a soft, gauzy, color-matched bedding for your chosen ornaments. A handful of confetti makes an especially festive addition to this type of centerpiece. This is a great idea for oblong or oddly-shaped tables, as the tulle can be mounded into any shape imaginable.

You are pretty much including everything! Lets see, my total budget was $10,000. The church was $600 and the florist total was about $1500, and that was the alter decorations and bouquets/bouts. I used my tossing bouquet and some extra flowers as my cake topper. As far as the church goes, I used the church's candleabras and pew candle holders. That was about all the decoration in the church.

The unity candle was about $10. I used wine glasses for our toast and a knife set we already owned. But as far as the glasses for all of our guests go, that was included with the caterer. The caterer's final cost included renting the linens, silverware, glasses, and extra tables.

For my flower girl, she made her own dress. So she used the scraps from her dress to make a purse. If not, use a basket you already have from Easter.

All those things you mentioned (knife, wine glasses, a pillow, a candle, a moneybox) are all minor minor expenses. But the reception is roughly everything left over. In my case, about $7,000. I made my own centerpieces so that is included in reception budget instead of florist budget.

I better way to figure out your budget is to expect a little over 50% for the reception costs. Close to 60% of that (or a little over 25% of your total budget) will be your caterer.

How and how much do I charge for decorating a hall for a wedding reception?

I have done parties for family before while I was in school, but I never charged, they would just give me some money. I recently graduated and received my AA in Visual Communications and now work as a visual merchandiser. Now, I am doing this wedding for a family member's relative and I am not sure how to go about establishing my pay. Advice please. Thanks.

You're talking family here. It would be wrong to ask for money. Be grateful if they offer, but remember, you're there to honor them!

What are the best table decorating ideas for long tables at a wedding reception?

The tables are already supplied with white linen and two ivy bowls for each table by the reception site. We are puting clear glass stones inside the bowl and placing a votive candle holder and candle inside. We are clueless on how else to decorate the tables. The wedding is next summer and our colors are black and white. We are using pink as our accent color.

One thing I am doing that would look good is table runners. I'm having white table cloths with blue table runners down the center, a bigger fishbowl with colored glass stones and floating candles in the middle with a smaller votive fishbowl on either side of it. Then there will be small bowls of mints and mixed nuts on the other sides of those.

anyone know where you can order about 100 personalized waterproof stickers/labels for a low price?

for wedding favors i was thinking about getting black coffee mugs and getting stickers made with our names and the date on them to put the the mugs. (the colors are black, white and hot pink) i need some ideas on the cheapest ways to buy the mugs and stickers or some other ways to pull off the personalized coffee mug idea. also if anyone has some other ideas for wedding favors, that would be helpful too.
